Costa Blanca
With over 200 km of golden sandy beaches along the Mediterranean coast, the Costa blanca stretches from the town of Denia in the north all the way via Benidorm and Alicante to Pilar de Horadada in the south.
‘Costa Blanca’ literally translates as ‘white coast’, but contrary to popular belief, this unfortunately does not mean you will find white beaches, nor white washed villages as found in Greece. Instead, it was named like that due to the white blossoms of the almond trees that are found in the region.
With an average of 320 days sunshine every year, its mild winters and hot summers, the Costa Blanca is the perfect region to spend your holiday while enjoying the warm waters of the Mediterranean and exploring the charming little coves, the picturesque villages all while sampling the wide variety of delicious Spanish food and wines.
The Costa Blanc is undoubtedly one of Spains most visited destinations, by locals and international tourists alike.
